Originally a dancer, Emily trained from childhood at the Royal Academy of Dance, Urdang junior ballet company and then London Studio Centre before working professionally as a dancer, predominantly in musicals. Credits include: Grease- UK Tour, The Far Pavilions (West End) and Cabaret (West End).
Emily then went on to train in acting at LAMDA graduating from the 2 year acting course with a first class degree. Professional Acting Credits include; “Wendy and Peter Pan” – RSC, “Dirty Dancing” – National tour. “Cling To Me Like Ivy” – Birmingham Rep. “Pillars of the Earth” – Channel 4.
Now with a young family, Emily currently works professionally as a Movement Director. Current credits include “Tolkien” – Fox searchlight feature film. “The Entertainer” – Leicester Curve and UK tour.
“Trial by Laughter” – UK tour. “The Wipers Times” – West End.
Emily has always taught drama and dance as well as coached for auditions and acting exams along-side her performing career. She has directed and choreographed many children’s and young adults workshops and shows. She has worked with YMT, Mountview and currently teaches on the 2 and 3 year courses at LAMDA. As well as teaching Emily also movement directs/choreographs the graduating musicals and is on the audition panel at LAMDA taking the recall auditions for the foundation and BA courses.
She is very much looking forward to bringing her training, professional experience and passion for acting as a creative craft to this unique Take Flight Academy acting course for children and teens.
